What to expect at our Wim Hof Weekend

So, you’ve heard of the Wim Hof Method, you’re keen to feel the benefits and are looking for a guiding hand to get you started or accelerate your journey? We probably don’t need to convince you of the benefits of the method if you’ve got this far, but why make the epic adventure to our sleepy village in the snowy north of Sweden?

The WHM is multifaceted. It supports both physical and mental health and resilience, but we feel that when you practice them here in our stunning natural landscape, far away from the regular goings-on of everyday life, with a group of likeminded individuals, those benefits are exponentially amplified.

Nature is scientifically proven to support our health, and yet most of us live a life in a nature-deficit. Time to swing the pendulum in the opposite direction – we are surrounded by forests, frozen lakes and rivers, animals like moose and reindeer. Far away from light pollution, our night sky is phenomenal, and with a bit of luck you will also get a chance to witness the magical, mystical northern lights. Taking an ice bath here, quite simply, takes your breath away. It takes getting high on your own supply to a whole new level.

From the comfort of our cosy 1900s farmhouse we will teach take you through a breathwork journey that compliments your cold exposure, that you can use in everyday life and that supports your spiritual journey too. Alexander Pohl is your level 2 WHM instructor and Catherine is a certified Archetypal Alchemy practitioner. You are in such safe hands to really let go of all expectations, inhibitions and fears and breathe your way to a deeper understanding of who you are, why you are here and take those next steps to enhance your life and shape it to be exactly the way you need it to be.

We also strive towards a truly sustainable lifestyle. We source as much food as possible from local sources which are not just high quality and natural, but also in synch with the planet. Catherine’s background in nutrition and lifestyle medicine means that the meals are expertly designed to support your journey both physically and mentally, as well as provide a pleasurable and communal dining experience to foster real connection and community.

So by all means try a bathtub full of ice before you join us, but be prepared to take your practice to a whole new level. Experience the thrill of warming up by campfire from a 2c open air dip through the surface of the frozen lake or snowshoeing through a Narnian forest.
